"Twenty first century pagan drum & bass".

"This is the shit. I cannot stop listening to this motherfucker. The
man behind the muzeek here is SPON, and this cat has
laid down the most spiritual and earth shaking jungle/dub work that
I have ever heard. I highly recommend you check this out if you want
to break it down".
Ink Nineteen, July '98

" We are talking about an album. of music. that is jungle
at its core. smartly, cleverly, technically, and perhaps most importantly
musically crafted and tied together to create a whole that is rarely
seen in the jungle/d.n.b game, then or now. truly unique, varied, broad,
yet still cohesive and maintaining consistency and flow and oneness
- "Earthlights" is probably the best jungle album youve never
heard. hear it now!"

"Pero un Richard Ashcroft engullido por uno de los
sofás levanta su botella de Heineken a forma de saludo y un risueño Simon Jones aparece a mi derecha cargado con un puñado
de compactos entre los que distingo el interesante «Earth-Nostramus-Light» -soberbio tratado de breakbeat tétrico-ambiental-. ¿Quién dijo hippie?".

"Nostramus probably won't change the face of music
as we know it, but his album does stand out amid the glut of emerging
Drum 'n' Bass cases. Don't let this one disappear into the black hole
of hyped-up breakbeat science clones - Nostramus is
definitely one to watch".
SILENCER's Album Reviews, Sept '97

"My favourite is Nostramus and the MC13's
'Dark Jewel' which is a little more sinister and features
excellent vocals from Caroline Nische".
DJ Mag, May '97
(Review of Lost In
Space Drum & Bass Phase 2)
"Nostramus deserve credit for their accessibility
and open-mindedness, on this form they've produced a record that is
intriguing and entertaining".
Soundbite magazine
(Review of Earthlights CD)
"Seething drum'n'bass, dark sound effects and samples culled from
an LSD scarred imagination".
Mixmag
(Review of Earthlights CD)
"Dance with the devil among the intensely powerful breakbeats"
NME (Review of Earthlights
CD)
This one ain't true;
"Trippy drum'n'bassers NOSTRAMUS were also communing
with nature up in the Green Fields, indulging in a spot of naked dancing
(apart from the mud, that is). So taken were the Luton electronicists
with their new outfits - loads of glorious mud rubbed all over 'em -
that they scooped loads up into buckets and bin liners and brought it
back home with them, ready for their next gig".
Melody Maker assuming Nostramus to
be at Glastonbury '97 (they weren't).
HERO OF BAMBOOSTICK
(feat. vocalists MC Mention & Golden)
Main Mix -
"A superb mixture of jungle breaks, King Fu samples, and a nice
combination of soulful and ragga style vocals. Truly original!"
KNOWLEDGE MAG
Dark and Lovely Mix -
Retaining the Kung Fu vibe this mix skillfully employs a hint of an
acid riff over some jazzy Photek-esque beats."
KNOWLEDGE MAG
Main Mix -
"Starts off kinda mellow with some nice Kung Fu movie samples,
while the MC's sing-jay complements the 'pre-battle' vocal strings.
Mellow, simple stepper beat is often peppered with classic Amen second
bar roll out. This track is put together with real class!"
